Three Boudoir Co-founder, Amber McCue, was named to the inaugural class of the Forbes Next 1000 list celebrating some of today’s boldest and most inspiring American entrepreneurs.

The Next 1000 list, a first-of-its-kind initiative, was curated by Forbes to spotlight a diverse group of entrepreneurs who are redefining business amid unprecedented uncertainty. Forbes describes the honorees as “proof-positive that American entrepreneurship remains resilient, vibrant and ever-changing.”

Unlike industry lists that numerically chronicle people based on criteria such as net worth and revenue, Next 1000 pays homage to a diverse group of entrepreneurs whose innovative business models and compelling personal stories have contributed to their success.

“It is an absolute dream to be included on the Forbes Next 1000 list, especially given the incredibly talented pool of business owners I’m honored to share the acknowledgment with,” says McCue. “This recognition speaks to the talent of our team and reaffirms our mission to celebrate and empower women through photography.”

As her Next 1000 profile notes, Three Boudoir was born after McCue modeled for photos to gift her husband, who was deployed overseas at the time. Today, the company’s team of 40 provides boudoir photography sessions to hundreds of clients each month in 17 cities nationwide, from New York to San Diego and Chicago to Dallas. Three Boudoir adapted to the challenges of the pandemic by launching a sister brand, The Virtual Photoshoot. This service gives clients the opportunity to have their pictures taken by a professional photographer from the comfort of home via phone or computer.

Judges for the esteemed Next1000 list include leaders from a wide array of sectors, including Chairman of the National Geographic Society, Jean Case, LinkedIn Co-founder, Reid Hoffman, and Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter Ciara.

Three Boudoir Co-founder, Joanna Tiger, shares in her business partner’s excitement and adds, “The Three Boudoir team is so proud of Amber! She truly embodies all of the qualities of a Next 1000 candidate. Her vision, creativity, and grit have been essential to our growth.”
